Phuppo ki Guriya

Hello readers!! Hope you all have been taking care of yourselves. If you read last week’s issue, you would know that I introduced my nephew (my Shehzada) to you all. Now, this week, I am introducing my cute, little, and sweet “Phuppo Ki Guriya”! So, today I will be having a fun conversation with her and I am sure that you all will find her as cute as I do.

Phuppo: Hello, my Guriya!

Guriya: Hello, Phuppo!

Phuppo: How are you? Would you like to say hello to my readers as well?

Guriya: I’m good, Phuppo; and yes. Hello everyone! Phuppo talks a lot about her students at Habib so I am really happy that finally, they’ll get to know about me too.

Phuppo: That certainly is true, haha. I often mention the wonderful work that my kids at Habib do and how amazing they are. Guriya finds it so inspiring.

Guriya: Yes! There are so many great things happening there that I wish I could also take part but sadly, there are still so many years left till the time comes when I can get admission there.

Phuppo: Beti, now that you have entered secondary school, you won’t even realize and soon it’ll be time for you to enter university. I think my students would also advise you to fully enjoy these precious years - a lot of them miss these years so much now that they are in university.

Guriya: Yes, Phuppo! I love studying at my current school and will work even harder so that I can enter a very cool university like Habib. (Her eyes widen with excitement as she nods)

Phuppo: Shabash, Beti! [Well done, kid!]. One thing that my readers really want to know is the truth whether I’m a strict Phuppo or not. What do you think?

Guriya: It is true that Phuppo sometimes gets angry but I also later realize the reason behind it, and there is always a reason. So, I don’t think that Phuppo is too strict but yes, a little haha.

Phuppo: I am sure that all the Phuppos would agree with me on this that at times, we have to be strict. However, I am also very lucky to have such a wonderful niece and nephew that they rarely cause trouble, except for some harmless mischief - which is what kids do at this age. There are so many questions from my Habib students that I wanted to ask but I think this is it for today’s conversation.

Guriya: But I wanted to talk about so many other things. (Her voice gets quieter as sadness appears on her face)

Phuppo: I know, Beti - and that is why next week, we’ll both meet again along with your bhaiyya [brother] to talk to our readers. So, let’s say goodbye for now!

Guriya: Yayyy! Bye-bye everyone!

Phuppo: We’ll see you all again next week. Till then, take care!
